Rest in Peace, Stephen Hillenburg

SpongeBob was my childhood, as for many others my age.

Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants passed away yesterday.

Like many who love(d) the show, I'm fucking crushed. Growing up my brother and I would sit in front of the TV and watch SpongeBob - shit, the majority of our inside jokes with each other consist of SpongeBob references. Even with my friends now we still crack SpongeBob jokes at each other because we're all adults, right?

I used to have more SpongeBob swag, but that bank I got when I was in middle school at my (of course) SpongeBob themed birthday party. Then, as my cat sat on my nightshirt I realized Pipsqueak's as old as the show itself (hint...the show turns 20 next year).

My heart goes out to Steve's family and friends. From the bottom of my nerdy heart, thank you Stephen for filling my childhood with laughs and good memories.
